Rewa: An incident of assault on Nupur Sharma's supporter in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh has come to light. The man used to post and comment in support of Nupur Sharma on social media. It is being said that on Saturday while going from home to the office, the man was called by another youth to talk and then he attacked him with a stick. The injured person is admitted to the hospital.

The incident took place in the Baikunthpur police station area of Rewa district. It is being said that the brother of the victim is associated with RSS. The victim used to post and comment in support of the Hinduism and Nupur Sharma on social media, due to which he was fatally attacked by a man. The victim alleged that a person from his acquaintance had called him to talk to him on his way to the office from home, when he approached the man, he started abusing and assaulting him. At present, the injured person has been admitted to a private hospital in Rewa for treatment. Police have registered an FIR and are investigating the case.

Mukesh Tiwari, a victim admitted to the hospital, said he works in a private finance company. As usual, on Saturday, he had reached Baikunthpur from the village to go from home to the office. It was then that his friend's brother Mohammed Suleiman called to do the necessary thing and suddenly started beating him with sticks. The victim said that he had supported Nupur Sharma along with the posts and comments supported by religion on social media, due to which Suleiman has committed the act of assault.
