On Saturday, the Tamil Nadu Health Minister said that 2 new positive cases have knocked in Tamil Nadu. One is a 42-year-old man from Kumbakonam who returned from the West Indies and another 49-year-old from Katpadi, who returned from Britain. Both had traveled from the Middle East. It was said that both are still stable and both have been kept in isolation. With this the total cases in the state have increased to 40. If two are cured, then one has died.

In view of the outbreak of Coronavirus in the state, the Government of Tamil Nadu had recently decided to give instructions to promote all the students from first class one to ninth without any examination. The Chief Minister said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of students. The exams of the 12th exams will be conducted later.

So far, 908 positive cases have been reported in the country, out of which 83 people have been cured. During this time 20 people have lost their lives.
