New Delhi: Today is the foundation day of the country's oldest political party Congress. The party will organize a 'Save the Constitution, Save India March' on Foundation Day today in protest against the Citizens Amendment Act (CAA) in all the state capitals of the country. Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi will attend events in Delhi, former party president Rahul Gandhi in Assam and party's national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Uttar Pradesh.

Sonia will hoist the flag at 9.15 am in the party headquarters on Saturday morning and Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting in Guwahati. After the success of Bharat Bachao Rally in Delhi, such marches are being organized in different states. It aims to lodge a protest against the anti-people policies of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government. During this March, Congress will vigorously raise issues affecting the general public, including the police action allegedly taken against CAA and students.

On this occasion, Rahul Gandhi has tweeted that today is the 135th Foundation Day of the Congress. I will attend the flag hoisting ceremony at the All India Congress Committee office. After this, I will address a rally in Guwahati. On the day of the party's foundation day, we acknowledge the selfless contribution of millions of Congress workers and women activists.
