Chandigarh: Congress candidate Indu Raj Narwal has won the Baroda assembly constituency in Haryana. Narwal has beaten the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and the strong contenders for the victory. When the vote-counting began at 8 in the morning, Yogesh was lagging behind. The voting was held on the three November in the Bardah seat. Amidst the corona crisis, 68.57% voting was recorded.

14 candidates were in the fray, but the BJP and the Congress were being treated. It may be recalled that the Baroda assembly constituency was vacated in April due to the demise of Congress MLA Shri Krishna Hooda. He had been running ill for a long time and was in the hospital in Delhi. He was elected three consecutive times from this seat in 2009, 2014 and 2019. In the year 2019, he had defeated Yogeshwar Dutt.

Shri Srikrishna Hooda, a resident of the window village of Rohtak, was one of the oldest MLAs of Haryana assembly. He had been a two-time sarpanch in his village window. Thereafter, for the first time in 1987, Lok Dal became MLA on the ticket, then won the election from Samata Party in 1996. In 2005, the Congress took repression and won the assembly by winning the election from the Kilai seat. Thereafter, in the 2009 elections, he contested and won the Bardah seat in Sonipat district. From here, they were also elected in 2014 and 2019.
