Congress declares 12 candidate names for Rajya Sabha elections

New Delhi: The Congress party has announced the names of 12 candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections. Congress party has made Dependra Singh Hooda a candidate for Rajya Sabha from Haryana. Shakti Singh Gohil and Bharat Singh Solanki have been nominated from Rajya Sabha from Gujarat. Apart from this, KTS Tulsi and Phulo Devi Netam have been made Rajya Sabha candidates from Chhattisgarh, while Shahbaz Anwar from Jharkhand and Digvijay Singh and Phool Singh Baraiya from Madhya Pradesh have been given tickets from Rajya Sabha.

However, Digvijay Singh has already filed his form for the Rajya Sabha elections. Rajeev Satav from Maharashtra and Kennedy Cornelius Khaim from Meghalaya have been nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the Congress. Apart from this, Neeraj Dangi and KC Venugopal have been made Rajya Sabha candidates from Rajasthan. Earlier on Wednesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released the list of Rajya Sabha candidates for 11 seats. Jyotiraditya Scindia, who joined the BJP from the Congress, has been nominated from Madhya Pradesh.

BJP has fielded candidates for 9 out of 11 seats, while two seats have been given to its allies. BJP has nominated CP Thakur's son Vivek Thakur from Bihar, while party state president Deepak Prakash has got a ticket from Jharkhand. BJP has given tickets to Ramilaben Bara and Abhay Bhardwaj from Gujarat. Similarly, from one seat in Maharashtra, Udayan Raje Bhonsle and head of the allies RPI (A) and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale have been made candidates.
