New Delhi: At this time there is a debate in the whole country about the new education policy brought by the Modi government. Several types of questions have been raised on this policy by Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor. Shashi Tharoor says that now the challenge will be to complete the things that have been said because many times the Finance Ministry talked about the insufficient budget. According to Shashi Tharoor, many things are good in the new policy, but there are some topics which raise concern.

Education policy was welcomed by Shashi Tharoor tweeting earlier also. He wrote "There is much to welcome in what we have seen of the #NewEducationPolicy2020 announced by @DrRPNishank. A number of suggestions made by some of us seem to have been taken into account. However, the question remains why this was not brought before Parliament first for discussion". Shashi Tharoor wrote that I am happy that the government decided to change the education policy, it was awaited. But there is still a question of how the target of keeping the budget of 6 percent of GDP will be fulfilled. Because the Finance Ministry has continuously reduced the budget of the Ministry of Education."

According to Shashi Tharoor, the new policy sets certain goals that seem beyond reality. The government should put forward those goals which can be completed on time. Today, we are able to make only 15 researchers out of one lakh, while China is making 111 researchers. Justifying the education policy, the Congress leader said that the real challenge will be how do you stop the increase in fees in the private sector so that even the poor can study.
