NEW DELHI: Amid the ongoing tension in Jammu and Kashmir, section 144 has been imposed in Jammu from 6 AM on Monday. In addition, 40 companies of CRPF have been deployed in 8 districts of Jammu. There are already 100 companies of security forces in Kashmir. In addition, section 144 has been imposed in Srinagar. All educational institutions have also been directed to remain closed till further orders.

On the other hand, Congress leaders have moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on the Kashmir issue. Congress MPs Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, K Suresh and Manish Tiwari have moved the Lok Sabha while Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni, Bhubaneswar Kalita have moved the adjournment motion in the Rajya Sabha. Asaduddin Owaisi, mp from Hyderabad, has also moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha on the same issue.

Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition will meet the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad today on the Kashmir issue. On the other hand, the Rajya Sabha will discuss only the Kashmir issue today. The Chairman has cancelled all remaining proceedings. After the Upper House, Home Minister Amit Shah will reply in the Lok Sabha. Veteran Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that democracy and peace in Jammu and Kashmir are in danger.
