New Delhi: The opposition has made all preparations to corner the government over the clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Tawang sector on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh. A turbulent session is expected in Parliament today. Earlier, Congress MPs had demanded a discussion in Parliament over the Tawang clash. Sources said that Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will make a statement in Parliament on the matter.

According to the report, as soon as the Indian Army made a statement on Monday (December 12), there was a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh on December 9. In which at least 6 Indian soldiers were injured. However, the army said the clash did not last long and the two soldiers immediately retreated. Soon after the news spread, the Congress attacked the Centre, saying the government needs to take the country into confidence by discussing the issue in Parliament.

Government sources say the Centre has "never shied away from any discussion and is ready with the facts". Government sources said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will represent the government in the House. He will make a statement in the Lok Sabha at 12 noon and in the Rajya Sabha at 2 pm. At the same time, many Congress MPs are going to give adjournment notices in both houses to discuss this issue. The Congress has alleged that the Narendra Modi government's tendency to "suppress" the border issue has fuelled China's anger.
