Controversy broke out between student organizations in JNU, ABVP filed case

New Delhi: Reports of assault between ABVP and left-wing students have once again surfaced in the JNU. Several students from both sides were injured in the incident. Nothing much has been known so far as to why the assault took place. JNU Students Union President and Students Federation of India leader Aishi Ghosh posted on Twitter about the assault. Allegations have also been levelled against each other by both organizations. Aishi Ghosh has accused ABVP for the incident. According to ABVP, they were meeting in the student activity room of the JNU. Meanwhile, at around 9:45 pm on Sunday, left students reached there and started assaulting them.

A case has been filed by the ABVP at Vasant Kunj police station in Delhi in this regard. Police have said that the case is under investigation. However, FIR has not yet been filed in the case. Police are investigating after the incident.

After the assault, the Students Federation of India leader and JNU Students Union President Aishi Ghosh posted on Twitter saying, "ABVP goons spread violence in JNU today.  These criminals have assaulted students and disrupted democracy on campus. Will the JNU administration still remain silent? Will there be no investigation''? Aishi Ghosh also shared pictures of the students injured in the attack on Twitter. Some students are seen in these pictures who are injured.
