Even after effective steps like lockdown, the corona chain in Bapudham is not taking a name to break. For the past several days, the process of meeting Corona positive patients continues. Seven positive patients were found here again on Saturday morning. The death of a suspected patient in Sector-30 has indicated the situation to worsen. However, the Health Department and the administration have described this death as a normal death. Nevertheless, as a precaution, the body has been taken for corona test by placing it in the morcha of GMSH located in Sector 16. The hospital administration says that it will be decided to hand over the dead body to the family members only after the report is received on Sunday.

The seven people confirmed corona on Saturday include 21, 34, 30, 40 and 49-year-old men, 18-year-old youth and a 14-year-old teenager. Till Friday, the number of patients in Bapudham alone was 37, which has increased to 44 after the arrival of seven more patients. The total corona positive patients in Chandigarh has increased to 95. The increasing number of patients, one after the other, has raised concerns with the health department and the administration.

1462 Corona suspects have been investigated in Chandigarh so far. Out of that, 1339 reports have come negative whereas 94 positive patients have been found so far. The investigation report of 28 is yet to come.
