Geneva: The WHO expects the covid-19 pandemic to end in less than two years. WHO chief Tedros Adhonom Ghebreyesus said on Friday that the Spanish flu that began in 1918 had ended in 2 years. He told that if the world remained united and the vaccine was discovered, then this epidemic would end in less than 2 years.
Disadvantages due to globalization: WHO chief said, 'Today we have technology and more ways of connectivity. In such a situation, there is a possibility of the virus spreading. It can spread fast because today we are more connected. ' He told that with which we have the technology and knowledge to stop it. We have globalization, proximity, loss of connectivity and better technology.
11% Resistance Ability among Pakistanis: While the National Health Academy of Pakistan, along with several partners including Aga Khan University, has done National Siroprevalence Study in 25 cities in collaboration with WHO. Studies have found that about 11 percent of Pakistanis are developing immunity to the coronavirus, killing more than 6 thousand people and infecting 2,91,588 people in Pakistan.
