Dehradun: Corona restrictions have been extended in Uttarakhand till November 20. The SOP has been issued by Chief Secretary Dr S.S. Sandhu in this regard. The new SOP has been issued for a month, neither any restrictions nor any new exemptions have been given. The cupboards of Badrinath Dham are closing on 20th November, the upcoming month. Only then will the SOP be changed in view of the circumstances of the day.

The corona restrictions in the state will continue as before from October 19 to November 20 under the SOP issued on Monday. According to the SOP, the wedding worker in the state still retains the discount of the event with a capacity of 50 per cent in the wedding hall, the wedding venue. Other social, religious and political functions including Ramlila will also be held with 50% capacity of the venue. Compliance with corona protocol will be mandatory at all places.

At the same time, social distances and sanitisation have to be given priority as before. The schools will be run as per the guidelines of the Department of School Education. The district administration has been directed to strictly follow the corona rules to ensure that tourist places are not crowded. The mandatory requirement of registration, vaccination report or monitoring report of the covid check has also been retained for persons coming from outside states on the smart city app. The rules will also apply to devotees visiting Chardham.
