Chandigarh: Covid-19 moving towards its peak in Punjab. On Sunday, this virus killed 56 more people in the state, while 1689 new infected cases have also been seen. In Punjab, 1404 people have died due to this pandemic so far and a total of 52526 people have become victims of it. On Sunday, 15375 patients have been kept in quarantine wards in various hospitals of the state, where 474 patients are being supported on oxygen and 77 patients are being provided ventilator support. Meanwhile, 1656 patients are also reported to be healthy in the state.

It has been reported that on Sunday, 15 in Ludhiana, 8 in Patiala, 7 in Jalandhar, 5 in Sangrur, 4-4 in Bathinda and Kapurthala, 3 in Amritsar, 2-2 in Fatehgarh Sahib and Hoshiarpur, Faridkot, Ferozepur , 1-1 corona patient died in Moga, Mohali, Muktsar and Pathankot. During the period 1689 new cases were reported, 273 in Ludhiana, 188 in Patiala, 150 in Jalandhar, 148 in Mohali, 136 in Gurdaspur, 111 in Amritsar, 74 in Faridkot, 68 in Fazilka, 65 in Kapurthala, 60 in Bathinda, 58 in Sangrur, 57 in Ferozepur, 56 in Muktsar, 55 in Pathankot, 44 in Hoshiarpur, 38 in Moga, 34 in Barnala, 33 in Ropar, 15 in Mansa, 10 in Fatehgarh Sahib and Nawanshahar, 6 new corona in Tarn Taran Patients have been found. Among these patients, 466 have close contact with patients previously found positive, while 853 cases are new to Kovid.

According to the Health Ministry, out of the 1656 patients who have been sent home on Sunday, 350 are from Ludhiana, 297 from Jalandhar, 206 from Patiala, 167 from Ferozepur, 105 from Moga, 104 from Mohali, 78 from Amritsar, Sangrur. 66, 49 of Barnala, 42 of Hoshiarpur, 35-35 of Gurdaspur and Ropar, 26-26 of Pathankot and Muktsar, 19 of Kapurthala, 18 of Tarn Taran, 13 of Nawanshahar, 9 of Faridkot, 8 of Fatehgarh Sahib, 2 of Fazilka And 1 patient of Mansa is present. With this, the number of patients who beat covid-19 in the state has increased to 35747.
