New Delhi: More than 17,000 new corona patients have been found in India in the last 24 hours. 23 patients have died. For the last few days, the figures for corona cases in the country are coming as a surprise. According to the data of the health department, 17,070 new cases of corona have been found in the last 24 hours.

The highest number of cases have been reported in 5 states of the country. Kerala (4,083 new cases) ranks first among these states. Then, Maharashtra (3,640), Tamil Nadu (2,069), West Bengal (1,424) and Karnataka (1,046) come in. The participation of these five states in the total new cases is 72.42 per cent. Of the new cases, 23.92 per cent have been reported from Kerala only.

23 more persons have died in the last 24 hours due to Corona. More than 5 lakh (5,25,139) persons have lost their lives due to Corona in the country so far. India's recovery rate is now 98.55 per cent. A total of 14,413 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries across the country to 4 crores 28 lakh 36 thousand 906. After the arrival of new corona patients in the country, the number of active cases has increased to more than one lakh. There are currently 1 lakh 07 thousand 189 active cases of Corona in the country. In the last 24 hours, there has been an increase of 2,634 in the active cases of the corona.
