In the wake of the coronavirus in Moreh, Manipur, Myanmar authorities have installed an infrared thermometer on the Indo-Myanmar border. It will be used for screening Indian citizens entering the country from here. Please tell that not a single case has been confirmed in India yet. However, many people from China have been kept under observation.
On this matter, an official from Moreh said that the device has been installed by officials of the Health Department of Myanmar in the Nampalong market on the border towards Myanmar. In view of this dangerous virus originating from the city of Wuhan, China, this device has been installed here.
For your information, let us tell you that Moreh is a major center of trade between India and Myanmar. Indian citizens are allowed to travel 16 km inside Myanmar every day for business. However, they have to return to India by 4 pm. Three suspected patients of coronavirus have been admitted to Delhi's RML Hospital today. The age of these three people is between 24 and 48. They have been kept in a separate ward. Two people belong to Delhi and another NCR. As of Monday, a total of 33,552 passengers from China to India have been screened on 155 flights.
