For the prevention of coronavirus, the state government may distribute rations in April for three months in advance to 23 lakh ration cardholders. For this, the Food and Supplies Department has started supplying wheat, rice and pulses to the hill districts. Ration of the month of April can be given to consumers from April 1 to April 15 and ration of two months from April 15 can be distributed in advance. Along with this, the government has put a lockdown in the state till 31 March to prevent the spread of corona infection.

The Food and Supplies Department has distributed cheap rations for the month of March to consumers. With this, the ration quota for the month of April has reached more than 95 percent in all districts of the state. Ration distribution can be done at cheap galleries from April 1. At the same time, to prevent hoarding of food items, the department has also deployed teams under the leadership of District Supply Officer in each district. In addition, the District Magistrates were instructed that regular supply of essential services could be done. Strict action should be taken on getting a complaint of hoarding.

The state's 23 lakh ration card holders are given cheaper ration every month by the government. Along with this, the Antyodaya family gets 35 kg ration per card. 21.5 kg of rice and 13.5 kg of wheat is given in it. However, primary families get two kg of wheat and three kg of rice per unit. At the same time, under the Mukhyamantri Dal Nurture Scheme, one kilogram of gram and masoor dal will also be available on each ration card. Along with this, in view of the lockdown of the state, all the district collectors and departmental officers were instructed to keep a strict vigil on hoarding. At the same time, three months ration can be distributed to all ration card holders in the month of April. Ration quota is being reached in advance in the hill districts.
