Corona Wreaks Havoc In Kerala, Reports nearly 33k cases In Last 24 Hours

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India's active COVID-19 tally increased by 11,402 on Thursday, following a single-day rise of 47,092. According to data from the Ministry of Health, India's overall caseload is 3.28 crore.

In India, 509 deaths were reported, bringing the total to 4.39 lakh with a case fatality rate of 1.34 percent. It also said that 3.20 crore COVID-19 patients had recovered, bringing India's overall recovery rate to 97.48 percent.
Kerala recorded 32,803 positives out of 47,092 new cases, with a test positivity rate (TPR) of 18.76 percent,

according to the Health Ministry. During the same time period, 173 fatalities were reported in Kerala. According to the Kerala health department, 3.17 crore samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, with 1.74 lakh samples tested in the last 24 hours. Kerala has 2.29 lakh current COVID-19 cases, whereas 38.38 lakh people have recovered from the illness, according to the report.

The Health Ministry also said that the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.62 percent while 66.30 crore anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in India so far. It noted that 81.09 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered on Wednesday.
