Punjab: 98 people returned home after recovering from Corona

With the death of one woman due to coronavirus in Patiala district on Monday, the death toll from the epidemic in Punjab went up to 19. Nine new Corona positive cases were also reported, due to which the number of infected people in the state reached 331. Meanwhile, with the recovery of 12 more patients, the number of people who won the corona in the state has also reached 98.

According to information received from the Health Department regarding the virus, 6 out of 14 pilgrims returned to Tarn Taran from Nanded, Maharashtra's Hazur Sahib, were found to be corona positive. The infected include five from village Sur Singh and one devotee from village Basarke. The district administration has completely sealed the village Sur Singh and the relatives of these devotees have also been kept in isolation and samples have been taken for their health checkup. District Tarn Taran had not found a single corona positive patient till now. Three new cases have also been found in Phagwara of Kapurthala.

During this time one patient in Patiala, 5 in Amritsar and 6 in Mohali recovered and returned to their homes. Samples of 15516 suspects have been taken so far in the state, out of which 12333 samples have been found negative. The investigation report of 2853 people is yet to come. There are 213 people currently undergoing treatment in various hospitals of the state.
