A case of molestation of a minor has been reported in a rural quarantine center in Pauri Kotwali area. The police filed case against the accused and arrested him. The accused has been sent to jail under judicial custody on a court order. A case of molestation of a minor girl came to light on the night of 14 May in a rural institutional quarantine center in Pauri, Kotwali area.

The minor arrived from Dehradun about a fortnight ago with his two younger brothers from the village. Here he was kept in the Quarantine Center. The accused young man was brought with him by three siblings from Dehradun. He is said to be a distant relative. The accused was also with them in the Quarantine Center. On May 15, the three siblings returned to the village after completing their period at the Quarantine Center.

Here the minor informed her aunt about the incident of molestation. After this, on May 16, the minor's tau told the police in the case. Kotwal Laxman Singh Kathait said that a case has been registered against the accused under POCSO and he has been arrested. He said that the accused was produced in the court of District and Sessions Judge, from where he has been sent to jail for 14 days in judicial custody.
