The cases of corona infection are increasing in Uttarakhand. 26 more Corona positive cases have been reported in the state on Monday. After this, the number of infected patients in the state has reached 1845. This has been confirmed by Additional Secretary Health Couple Kishore Pant. According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, three-three infected cases have been found in Nainital, Pauri, Tehri, Rudraprayag. However, two cases each have been found in Pithoragarh and Bageshwar and one in Almora. Six cases have been reported in Dehradun, one in Uttarkashi and two in Haridwar. So far, 1135 infected patients have recovered and returned home. While there are still 668 active cases, an MBA student, a resident of Purola, who returned home from cricket after completing his institutional and home quarantine period from Delhi, died.
The local doctors referred him to Doon Hospital but he died before reaching the hospital. After taking samples for corona examination, the hospital administration handed over the bodies to the family members with rescue tools. The 20-year-old resident of village Dhakara, Purola (Uttarkashi) was pursuing his MBA in Delhi. He returned home from Delhi about 21 days ago. The youth was institutionalized for 14 days at Purola Inter College. After completing this period, the young man was advised to stay in home quarantine. He went to play cricket on Sunday after completing the seven-day period of home quarantine. It is being told that after returning from playing cricket, he came home and drank cold water. After some time, the young man got chest pain. The family took him to Purola Government Hospital.
When the condition became critical, the doctors referred him to the Government Doon Medical Hospital on the fear of Covid-19. On the way, his family took him to Damta Primary Health Center. The doctors there also advised the family members to go to Doon. Late at around 3:30 pm, the family reached Doon Hospital with the young man. Doctors declared the young man dead. After that, the body was kept in the Morchary of Doon Hospital and conveyed to the Administration and Health Department. A sample was taken for corona investigation. Dr. MS Khatri, deputy MS of Doon Hospital and State Coordinator of Corona, said that under the new guidelines, a sample of the youth has been taken for corona examination. After that, the dead body was handed over to the family members with rescue tools.
