UPCL (Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited) has waived their fix charge on electricity bill from April to June. . While till now the charge from March to May was only postponed, not waived.

But, now UPCL has amended its earlier order and completely waived the fix charge on the bills from April to June instead of March. UPCL Managing Director BCK Mishra said that this would provide a big relief to these businessmen. Even though the ban has been announced to be removed from anywhere in the country except for the Containment Zone, the traders of Doon still hit the markets from seven to four in the morning. Are in favor of opening till noon.

The traders have sent a memorandum to the District Magistrate in this regard, citing the conditions and asking them to market the time till four o'clock in the evening. The district administration has not taken any decision in this regard. Traders say that they are awaiting the decision of the district administration. Further strategy will be decided on Monday. President of Doon Udyog Vyapar Mandal Vipin Nagalia said that most traders are not in favor of extending the time of the markets. The district administration has also been apprised in this regard.
