There have been 76 coronavirus cases in the northern district of Kasaragod in the Indian state of Kerala, with the district turning into a new hotspot in the state, while the total number of infected cases in Kerala is reaching 164. The largest percentage of people are those who have returned from abroad.

On Friday only 39 positive cases were reported in the state, out of which 34 cases are from this district. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has been forced to chalk out a special strategy for the district so that the community transfer does not come in. Out of the 34 cases reported on Friday, the latest case is of a class X student in Kanhangad.

The case has also been registered. The Kerala government has sought his reply. He has been quarantined with the family in Sultanpur. Anupam recently returned from Singapore after a honeymoon.
