When a man who left home sixty years ago returned helplessly in a crisis of lockdown, his wife and children also closed all the doors of the house for him. The members did not welcome, saying that he had not taken care of the family in all these years. When Chauhan was 18, he was destitute of a 16-year-old wife and two young children. Chauhan's wife Bugna Devi is now 78 years old.

Two sons Trapan Singh aged 63 years and Kalyan Singh aged 61 years stayed with her. Local revenue officer Virender Singh Rawat said that when migrants from different states returned home, Chauhan also returned to Uttarakhand. He got his name written in Himachal Pradesh administration. His family was also told that Chauhan would return from Himachal on Sunday, but the family members asked the administration that they would not welcome him in house. The revenue officer said that one grandson of Chauhan is the head of Jestwadi village.

The head grandson approached the local administration and requested that he not be called back. Bugna Devi said that there is no point in taking a person who did not care about us for so many years. She said that she does not even remember his face. Twenty years after he left his house, someone had told her that he had seen him in Solan, Himachal. The family members continued to search Chauhan and requested him to return home. But he did not pay attention to these things and is forced to return empty-handed today.
