New Delhi: The Indian SARS COV2 Genomics Consortium, a consortium of government laboratories of genome sequencing, said the main cause of coronavirus outbreak in the country is delta nature, infection sensitive population, and reduced vaccine effects in preventing viruses. In its latest bulletin issued on August 16, the INSACOG said that however vaccination has been very effective in preventing people from falling seriously ill and dying and public health measures and vaccination are important to prevent the virus.
He also said that delta-nature cases are more common in cases of viruses in the country. So far 61 samples of Delta Plus formats have been detected in the country. "Delta nature is the most prominent worrying form in India at the moment," he explained. Delta nature, sensitive population, reduced vaccine effect in preventing viruses, and chances of infection can be attributed to cases of infection in the country. After the second wave of corona infection reached its peak in May, the daily incidence is now showing a decline.
The Health Ministry said that the number of active patients in the country has come down to 3,63,605 which is the lowest in 150 days and 1.12% of the total cases of infection which is the lowest since March 2020. More than 57 crore doses of anti-corona vaccines have been administered in the country so far.
