New Delhi: CPIM National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has received a threatening letter. After this, CPIM has filed a complaint with the Delhi Police. On January 5, an anonymous envelope was found in the CPIM headquarters AKG building. Inside this envelope was a letter typed as appropriate. This letter has been written in the name of PM Modi, whose address is also in the name of Sitaram Yechury.

It has been written in the letter that non-social elements and misguided Muslims may have a hand in the ongoing protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act across the country. It has been written that in the near future it does not seem that the BJP government is going to go, so the left-wing CPM somehow wants to turn the people against the BJP. In the letter, Sitaram Yechury has been accused that he wants to turn Muslims against BJP and hence such people are not only dangerous for the society, but are poisoned. They should be dealt with in the same manner.

CPIM has lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police on 6 January by sending letters and envelopes and has demanded action. CPIM has asked Delhi Police to take cognizance of this matter and take immediate action. Along with this, the party has also demanded to strengthen the security of its General Secretary Sitaram Yechury.
