Patna: On Monday, youth took to the streets in Bihar's capital Patna and protested. These candidates related to teacher recruitment were agitating for the seventh phase of restoration of teachers. The agitating candidates were brutally lathi-charged by the police. The Grand Alliance government has come under criticism about this, while the allies have also started giving advice.

The CPIML, which is supporting the Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance government from outside, has attacked the government. The CPIML has said that the lathi-charge on the candidates agitating for the seventh phase of teacher recruitment is condemnable. CPIML state secretary Kunal has said that the grand alliance government should not run on the lines of the old government. The grand alliance government should not repeat the language of lathi-charge on the lines of the old government. He said that employment is an issue related to lakhs of the youth of Bihar. The CPIML state secretary said that the government should show seriousness and interact with the youth.

He has also demanded that strict action be taken against the criminal officers in the incident of lathi-charge on candidates in Patna on Monday. Kunal said the CPIML demands strict action against the officer responsible for Monday's brutal lathi-charge incident. He also said that such incidents will not happen in future, it should be ensured. A video of a brutal lathi-charge on protesting youth in Patna has surfaced. In a video, a young man is seen lying with a tricolour in his hands. A man in plain clothes is showering lathis on the man. He also attacks the hands with which the man is holding the tricolour with a stick. There is also a stick on the face and blood starts coming out of his ear, but the person continues to rain sticks. Later, a policeman standing nearby snatched the tricolour from the man's hand. Additional Deputy Magistrate (ADM) KK Singh is seen in the video. After the video surfaced, Patna Collector Dr Chandrashekhar Singh issued a letter to the City Superintendent of Police Central Patna and Deputy Development Commissioner Patna to investigate the veracity of the video and submit a report in two days.
