Ghaziabad: Three members of a family died in a fire that broke out in a room above a tent house godown in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, police said on Saturday. It is being told that 10 people saved their lives by jumping from the roof amid the spreading flames of this fire. Let us tell you that the cause of this fire is believed to be a short circuit. In fact, in this case, the police say that the reasons will be clear only after the investigation. District Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Sunil Kumar Singh said that Sunil Dutt runs a tent house in Kalpana Nagar Colony of the city and had built rooms on two floors, which were rented out.

Pankaj (30), his wife Kavita (29) and their four-month-old daughter Kritika died in the fire. The incident took place around 2:00 am on Sunday when the contents of the tent kept on the ground floor of the house suddenly caught fire. However, on seeing this, the fire became fierce and its smoke engulfed both the floors above.

Seeing the fire, people living in front of the house raised an alarm and picked up the tenants of the house. Pankaj and his family members were fast asleep and could not find out the fire. Amidst all this, some people came out of other houses through the roof and informed the fire brigade about the fire. However, the fire brigade team immediately reached the spot and after that four fire tenders brought the fire under control in four hours.
