Jaipur: Cycle Polo League is going to be organized for the first time in the country. Impressed by the popularity of league sports in the last few years, the Indian Cycle Polo Federation has decided to organize a bicycle polo league for the first time in the country. The league will be played in Jaipur from 25 to 29 November. CPFI Chief Radhuvendra Singh Dundlod gave information about the league at the media conference and hoped that this will help in increasing the popularity of the game.

Dundlod said that five teams will participate in the first season of the competition, between which the finals will be played after the league stage matches. He informed, 'The first Cycle Polo League will be held from November 25 to 29 in Jaipur, in which five teams will participate. Four players from these teams will land in which a foreign player can live. It will be played in the format of international matches where there will be four quarters of seven and a half minutes.
CPFI Vice President Group Captain Deepak Ahluwalia, former Indian team players Lt Gen (Retd) AK Singh, Air Marshal PP Bapat and CPFI Secretary Gajanan Burde were present on the occasion. Apart from the country's top 40 bicycle polo players, 10 foreign players will also participate in this competition.

Dundlod said, "CFI teams will have the opportunity to choose from the top 40 players in the country besides 10 foreign players for this competition. Bidding will not be done for the selection of players in the first season and the team will be formed in such a way that all five teams are equal. The winner of the league will be given prize money of Rs 2 lakh while the runner-up will be given prize money of Rs 1 lakh.
