Chennai: Cyclone Nivar activated in the Bay of Bengal is going to knock on the coast of Tamil Nadu today. Cyclone Nivar, located on the southwest bay of the Bay of Bengal, can turn into a severe cyclonic storm during the coming 12 hours. According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, if it is to be believed, before 5.30 pm, a storm may hit 145-150 km / h.

However, the relief is that if it is delayed, the storm will weaken and people will get relief. Currently, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry are raining before the storm. Heavy rains in Chennai have resulted in heavy waterlogging in many places. A total of 129 relief camps have been set up in Chennai. 312 people have already taken shelter in 8 relief centres.

Rain has started in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry since yesterday, the warning has been issued to the people. This storm can hit the coast between Mamallapuram and Carakal anytime before 5.30 pm today. According to the message that the satellites are getting before the arrival of the storm, the speed of the winds will be more than 100 kilometres, it can go up to about 150 kilometres per hour.
