In the wake of the Cyclone Tauktae, the Indian Railways' Western Railway zone announced that it is cancelling several trains for the safety of passengers and train operations, which would ply on the dates of May 15 to May 21.
The Western Railway Ratlam division has cancelled six special trains, including Jabalpur-Somnath Express which pass through Ratlam rail division in view of warning of Taute cyclone heading towards Gujarat.
The reserved tickets of all passengers of Jabalpur-Somnath Express have been canceled and full refund is being given to the passengers. The Western Railways have already canceled the train running from Indore to Gandhidham. At the same time, the Shanti Express running from Indore to Gandhinagar runs daily.
The Western Railway has canceled Train No 01465 JabalpurSomnath train from Somnath for two days i.e. on May 17 and 18 in view of the pre-warning about Taute cyclone. Train No.04163 Somnath-Jabalpur Special express from Somanath, train No.02941 Bhavnagar - Asansol special express from Bhavnagar and train No 04677 Hapa - Shrimata Vaishnodevi Katda special Express from Hapa commencing journey on May 18 will remain cancelled. Train No 04679 Jamnagar - Shrimata Vaishnodevi Katda special express commencing journey from Jamnagar on May 19 will remain cancelled. Train No 02942 Asansol Bhavnagar special express commencing journey from Asansol will remain cancelled on May 20.
