New Delhi: Cyclonic Storm ' Vayu ' likely to reach Gujarat on June 13 due to low air pressure situation in Arabian Sea. According to the meteorological department, the Storm could take a serious form in the next 24 hours. With cyclonic storm air likely to be high tide on June 12 and 13, all the beaches of Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Raigarh, Ratnagiri and Sindhdurg of Konkan region can be closed for the next two days.

As per the information received from the sources, the impact of the cyclone has started to appear in Maharashtra also. There are strong winds going on in Mumbai. That has also led to many trees falling. Also, in some other coastal areas, strong winds have been going on since morning. Gujarat Chief minister Vijay Rupani has held a meeting with senior officials over the cyclone. The state government has issued a "high alert" in coastal and South Gujarat. NDRF Jawans have been deployed in coastal areas.
