Agra: The body burnt near village Abidgarh on Jalesar Road in Khandauli of Agra district of Uttar Pradesh was that of Khushboo, the missing 20-year-old daughter of Mathura-based sepoy Veerpal Singh. It is alleged that Ashish Tomar, a resident of Navneet Nagar, who was present in Nau Ka Sarai, had strangulated Khushboo with a scarf for refusing to marry him. In fact, BCom student Khushboo was called to her home by the killer Ashish Tomar. She was then killed. After keeping the body in the house for 35 hours, he took the body with his father on a motorcycle and came to the hideout. However, both were caught when identified.  

During the interrogation of the police, the culprit Ashish told that on May 30, it was Somvati Amavasya. In the morning, the parents had gone to Rajghat to bathe in the Ganges. After they left, he called Khushboo home. When she arrived, there was a discussion between the two. She was killed in anger at about four o'clock in the evening. After the murder, the body was hidden under the bed. He stayed with the body all night long. The next morning, the parents arrived. After 24 hours, the body started to stink. On this, Ashish's father Mukesh questioned his son. He said where the stench is coming from.

Ashish was not answering anything. He got suspicious of this. He searched the room. Due to this, Khushboo's body was found under the bed. He got scared seeing this. On this the son told about the murder. He said there was a mistake. But his father did not inform the police. Both devised a strategy to dispose of the dead body. The body was wrapped in a quilt cover. On the night of May 31, at around 3 pm, took the body in the bundle and kept it on the motorcycle. Mukesh started riding a motorcycle. Ashish was sitting behind. On the Jalesar route, both the motorcycles were brought to a distance of about 5 km. Only a few vehicles were passing at that time. The motorcycle was stopped at a secluded place. After throwing the dead body on the roadside, put petrol and set it on fire. Lighters were taken with them to put out the fire. His plan was that the body would not be recognized after burning. But the body could not burn completely. The face got burnt. Even the clothes were not burnt. The family members recognized the body. Khushboo's shoes and phone were left at home. They too have been confiscated by the police.
