Lucknow: An MA student has committed suicide by hanging herself at home in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad. On getting the information, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. It is being said that two youths of the village started threatening to make the objectionable video of the student viral. Upset with this, she took this step. The two youths have been on the run since the incident and police have registered a case and initiated action.
The incident took place at Nagla Hasa under the Kunderki police station area. The deceased's mother has told the police that in the morning her daughter had accused two youths of the village of harassing her. The youth threatened to make a video of her viral on social media. Upset over this, the girl hanged herself from a scarf in the afternoon and on receiving information about the girl's suicide, senior police officials rushed to the spot and also initiated action. SP Dehat Vidya Sagar Mishra, who rushed to the spot, said that action was being taken from every angle. The family members of the student said that a young man from the village had also made a video of their daughter trapping her in conversation. Then through the video, his daughter was being repeatedly harassed.
SP Dehat Vidya Sagar Mishra said that information about the death of the girl under suspicious circumstances was received and the police have sent the body for post-mortem by filling a panchnama. The SP has said that an FIR has been lodged at the Kunderki police station on the basis of the complaint given by the family members. In the case of the student's obscene video going viral, SP Rural has said that the police are investigating it.
