Davos World Economic Forum: TN govt launches 'Invest In Telangana' campaign

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has successfully started the Invest in Telangana campaign at the World Economic Forum, according to an official statement from the Chief Minister's Office on Tuesday.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy mentioned that he is attending this conference to attract investments to the state. As part of this effort, CM Reddy, along with IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, will be engaging in a meeting with representatives of various global companies, as per the official statement.

During the first day, the Telangana delegation held important discussions with influential individuals to attract significant investments and showcase Telangana's strengths as a major center for IT and biomedical sciences.

CM Revanth met with World Economic Forum President Borge Brende and discussed investment opportunities in Telangana. He also met with the organizers of the World Economic Forum and other dignitaries.

Furthermore, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had a meeting with Ethiopia's Deputy Prime Minister, Demeke Hassen. The Telangana delegation, including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Sridhar Babu, also had discussions with National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) President Debjani Ghosh.

The discussions focused on the skill development of youth and placement commitments for those pursuing engineering and degree courses.

The 54th Annual Conference of the World Economic Forum is currently taking place in Davos, Switzerland, and will continue for three days.

In other news related to the conference, Accenture's 'Pulse of Change: 2024 Index,' released on Day 1, brought positive news for India. The survey revealed that the rapid pace of change in India holds potential for wide-ranging impact on leaders in the year ahead. An impressive 89% of leaders in India anticipate an even faster rate of change in 2024, with 76% viewing change as an opportunity. Additionally, 63% expect revenue growth to accelerate in 2024, and 58% of C-suite leaders anticipate an even faster pace of technology disruption in the same year.
