Deepika Padukone speaks about 'Depression' in a mental health seminar

Deepika Padukone is one of the celebrities who been through depression and overcome with it. Not only this but the celebrity also has the courage to admit the fact and speak about it in front of people.  

Moreover, Deepika also started a foundation Live, love and laugh to help and support people suffering from mental illness. 

Recently Padmaavat actress attended an event in the capital city, where her foundation presented a mental health survey from across the country. Deepika’s sister, Anisha Padukone who is the director of the foundation also arrived with Deepika.

Deepika and Anisha both addressed the audience and spoke about the importance of awareness of depression. Deepika and Anisha, a both, opted for a semi-formal look and looked pretty with minimal make-up.

At the event, Deepika said about depression, “I will admit that it was hard for me to get out of bed and get to work every day. But, I think if you have the right set of support system, for me, speaking about it made it easier. I suddenly felt that I wasn't hiding anything from anybody whether it was my parents, my sister, people at work and my counselors. I created a group around me of people who understood me. It had moments of vulnerability, but I didn't feel that I had no one to share my breaking down moments. I had people around.”
