Defense Minister Rajnath Singh held a big meeting with the chiefs of the three armies and CDS General Bipin Rawat over India's ongoing dispute with the neighboring country of China over the Line of Actual Control. The situation in Ladakh was reviewed at this high-level meeting. During this time, the Defense Minister has asked the army to be fully prepared to give a befitting reply to any Chinese action.

According to the sources, the armed forces were given complete freedom to deal with any aggressive behavior by the People's Liberation Army of China on the LAC. Security forces have been asked in the meeting to keep a close watch on every action of China in land, water, and sky.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will leave for a three-day visit to Russia on Monday. During this time, the Defense Minister will attend a military parade in Moscow to mark the 75th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Germany in World War II. The parade was originally scheduled to take place on May 9, but was postponed due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Rajnath Singh's visit to Russia is believed to be crucial amid the ongoing border dispute between India and China. 20 soldiers, including a colonel of the Indian Army, were killed in a violent clash with Chinese soldiers in the Galvan Valley of eastern Ladakh. China has also suffered heavy losses in this clash. 40 soldiers, including the commanding officer of the military unit of China, were hoisted by Indian youth. This is the biggest military confrontation between the two countries in more than five decades. Due to this, the situation of the already ongoing deadlock between the two countries has become more serious.
