Hathras case: lawyers write to CJI seeking High Court-monitored investigation

New Delhi: After the Hathras gang rape case, the whole country is in a rage and sorrow. Strict action is being sought against the culprits. Meanwhile, women lawyers have also written a letter to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) of the apex court and demanded that the matter be investigated under the supervision of the High Court. Many media reports have been cited in this paper.

Along with this, women lawyers have demanded action on police officers and police officers who tampered with the evidence and immediately suspended them. Along with this, there was a demand to create separate institutions and guidelines for the affected families, so that they do not have problems. Among those who wrote the letters were Advocate Kirti Singh, Advocate Iram Majid, Advocate Ritu Bhalla, Advocate Nandita Rao, Advocate Iti Pandey, Advocate Anuradha Dutt, Advocate Shah Rukh Alam, Advocate Aditi Gupta, Advocate Firdaus Musa, Advocate Swati Singh Malik, Advocate Ekta Kapil Malvika Rajkotia, advocate Kriti Kakkar, advocate Mrinalini Sen's name are included.

Along with this, Advocate Jhum Jhum Sarkar, Advocate Pooja Sehgal, Advocate Zeba Khair, Advocate Amita Gupta, Advocate Sanjoli Mehrotra, Advocate Aathira Pillai, Advocate Kavett Wadia, Advocate Sangeeta Bharti, Advocate RR David, Advocate Satakshi Sood, Advocate Anshika Sood, Advocate Warisha Farsat, advocate Naomi Chandra and several lawyers have signed the letter.
