New Delhi: Recently, the Delhi government has announced waiver of electricity bills to Delhiites up to 200 units. BJP has termed the Aam Aadmi Party government's announcement as an election stamp. BJP's Delhi Pradesh President Manoj Tiwari has launched a scathing attack on him, terming it a complete electoral stunt. He said that since the election has come, the Chief Minister has opened a free box. After coming to power, the condition imposed. As well as heavily imposed permanent fees. When the BJP strongly protested, it came under pressure to announce a permanent tariff reduction in tariffs announced on Wednesday.

According to media reports, about 800 crore rupees have been collected from consumers in 16 months and should be refunded to consumers. If need be, the BJP will be on the road. He said Kejriwal is acting 5 to 6 per cent on what he says. We welcome free electricity, but consumers will have to pay back 800 crore. Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta has questioned the decision. He said Kejriwal has declared free electricity to hide his failure by looking at the polls. No work was done in the interest of taxpayers. No buses were purchased or roads were built for the people of Delhi and no school colleges were opened. When the government did nothing, it's never going to mislead people to travel free metros so never talk of free electricity.

In his statement, he further said that the government will explain where the money for free electricity will come from as the budget does not provide for it. In this case, the government should explain which scheme money will be spent on subsidies. Before Kejriwal came to power, he had said that power companies were looting the Delhi government. The CAG had talked about auditing. The Government should explain why the CAG audit did not take place. The Chief Minister is saying that earlier the power companies were not that rich. They should also explain how the companies became rich.
