New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Admi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will schedule another visit to Gujarat on August 1, said AAP spokesperson on Thursday. Kejriwal is campaigning hard for the forthcoming State Assembly elections.

Kejriwal will be in Gujarat on the 6th, 7th, and 10th of August. He will have a public meeting in Somnath and visit the state.

The Delhi Chief Minister visited Surat last Thursday and promised 300 units of free electricity to all household consumers and 24x7 power supply to cities and villages across Gujarat if his party wins the state Assembly elections this year.

At a press conference in Surat, Gujarat, the AAP national convenor also promised to waive all outstanding electricity bills until December 31, 2021.

Earlier, on July 26, Kejriwal met people and their families who fell ill after drinking fake liquor, in Botad district of Gujarat.  Delhi CM met with persons and their families who were ill after drinking tainted liquor in Gujarat's Botad district.

"It has come to my attention that more than 25 people have died in Bhavnagar after drinking tainted liquor, and several others have been admitted to hospitals. I wish them a quick recovery "Kejriwal said.
He also questioned the Gujarat government further, asking how, if the state is a dry state, alcohol is being marketed freely in the state and who benefits from this. "Why isn't the state administration looking into this, or is there an internal conspiracy at work?" he said.

He further alleged that the liquor industry in Gujarat is worth thousands of crores. After meeting victims and their families, the CM alleged that "This is not the first time people of Gujarat have died due to spurious liquor".
