New Delhi: Oxygen cylinder prices have skyrocketed due to corona virus. Companies are providing a cylinder of oxygen that can normally be purchased forever for Rs. 10,000 per month. The availability of oxygen cylinders has come down at most places in the capital and cylinders are being provided everywhere only after waiting for two to four days.

However, more than 5,000 corona beds are available in government hospitals of delhi government and corona treatment can be done. But here also, the availability of oxygen beds is very low. In view of this shortage of beds, the families of corona patients are treating the patients by placing oxygen cylinders at their homes. But they have to pay a hefty price for it. Umashankar, technical assistant at Meditech Healthcare, told the media that he provides oxygen concentraters at the home of corona patients. 12,000/- per month from the patients. Even if the patient recovers within a week, the machine has to pay a month's rent.

He said that for this 12,000 rupees, the technical assistants of the company go to the patient's house and install oxygen concentrater machines. It also provides mask facility for the patient. However, there is no concentrater available with the company at present. It can be provided between one and two days on pre-booking.
