Delhi Police issues arrest warrant against Lashkar Chief Hafiz Saeed

New Delhi: A Delhi court has issued an arrest warrant against Lashkar-e-Taiba chief and Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attack. In a terror funding case of Jammu and Kashmir, the court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Saeed. Apart from Hafiz Saeed, non-bailable warrants are being issued against three more accused. The list includes Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Ahmed Shah Vatali, separatist Altaf Ahmed Shah alias Funtus and UAE businessman Naval Kishore Kapoor. It is being told that all three are currently lodged in Tihar Central Jail. The court has issued these warrants after taking cognizance of the charge sheet of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

In this case, the court has also summoned representatives of Messrs Trisan Firms and Constructions Pvt Ltd, a company of Vatali. It is being told that special counsel of ED Nitesh Rana has told about this case, 'The accused had committed a criminal conspiracy in Jammu and Kashmir. These people had formed a network, which received money from Pakistani agencies for suspicious activities for hawala traders. The ED had filed a case against Hafiz Saeed and Hizbul Mujahideen leader Syed Salauddin and others based on an investigation by the NIA in the matter.'

It is an allegation that these people had conspired to wage war against the government. He tried to create unrest in the valley. In this case, the separatists are also accused that these people also had a part in the money to spread unrest in Kashmir. Hafiz Saeed has been accused in the ED's charge sheet in this case, 'he used the services of Vatali to send money to the separatists and some others. These people were actively involved in the stone-pelting that took place in different parts of Kashmir.'
