New Delhi: The Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi has started work on the expansion of Mohalla clinics. Under this, 100 more Mohalla clinics are set to be opened. The Delhi government is also working on the digitization of all Mohalla clinics. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia held a meeting on Monday on overseeing and expanding Mohalla clinics. He ordered the PWD and health authorities to open 100 new Mohalla clinics at the earliest.

He said that the Mohalla Clinic model of Delhi is a unique model of the primary health system not only in the country but also in the entire world. Now we are going to expand its service. At present, 519 Mohalla clinics are operational in Delhi, to which 100 new Mohalla clinics will be added at the earliest. He said that the work of these new clinics is in the final stages, which will be opened to patients at the earliest. The deputy CM further said that some Mohalla clinics have been digitized as a trial. Where the doctor collects information related to the patient and his illness through the tablet. With this, we will have all the information related to the health of every patient in the record. In the future, doctors will be helped to treat the patient by looking at their medical history of the patient.

Manish Sisodia said that Mohalla clinics are the first health centre to detect any disease. By being digitized, the complete record of the patient coming here will be kept. This will help in diagnosing a particular disease if there is a particular disease happening in an area. The doctor will be able to get the complete information of the patient with one click.
