New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has granted a major relief to all pilots fired last year by national carrier Air India. The court reversed the company's decision last year on Tuesday and ordered their reinstatement. In this context, Justice Jyoti Singh gave these directions to Air India. In his order, he said that these pilots will also have to pay old allowances.

The court also said that Air India will take a decision to extend the contract of the pilots in future on the basis of their performance. The court said detailed orders in the case will be available only on Wednesday. The high court passed the order after hearing more than 40 petitions filed by the pilots whose jobs were terminated by Air India on August 13 last year.

Meanwhile, amid the global epidemic corona virus, state-run airline Air India has given a big relief to its passengers. Air India passengers can change the date, flight number and sector of travel at no additional charge. This offer is valid for customers till June 30, 2021.
