New Delhi: Madame Tussaud Museum has been the main centre of tourist attraction in the capital of the country. The Madame Tussaud Museum, located in Connaught Place, has been exhibited by tourists for wax statues ranging from PM Modi to Bollywood star Salman Khan, Leonardo DiCaprio. The British company Merlin Entertainment has decided to stop the operation of Madame Tussauds Museum in India.
Anshul Jain, general manager and director of Merlin Entertainment India, confirmed this. As per media reports, Anshul Jain said that Merlin Entertainment can confirm that Madame Tussaud Museum in Connaught Place is being closed. Anshul Jain said that the museum was temporarily closed in March 2020 due to the Corona epidemic. However, Madame Tussaud's popularity in India is intact. He said that due to the current weather conditions, a company based in the United Kingdom is looking for an alternative to museums in India.
The owner of the building, Vikram Bakshi, says that Madam Tussaud leaving Delhi is a big loss for the city. Due to this, tourists were attracted towards Delhi at the international level. The officials of the civic body had provided all the facilities for setting up the museum. Bakshi said that the company had invested a lot of its money in India because of this museum. Now after the company leaves India, all this money will also be gone.
