New Delhi: Crime Branch of Delhi Police claims that nine students have been identified in connection with the violence on January 5 in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus. Addressing a press conference on Friday evening, DCP (Crime Branch) Joy Tirkey has said that the police have identified nine students with the help of pictures and videos that have gone viral on social media and they will be issued a notice soon. .
These students include JNU Students 'Union President Aishi Ghosh, JNU Students' Union counselor Sucheta Talukdar, Chunchun Kumar, Priya Ranjan, Dolan Samant, Yogendra Bhardwaj, Vikas Patel, Pankaj Mishra and Vaskar Vijay. At the same time, the president of JNU Students' Union, Ishi Ghosh has said that no person becomes a suspect due to the police saying suspects.
Addressing the press briefing, he said, "I have full faith in the judicial system of this country and I hope that the real culprits will be found out".
