New Delhi: The farmer leader Sukhdev Singh, accused of violence at the Red Fort, had instructed the accused Jugraj to hoist the flag and vandalize it. Sukhdev met Punjabi actors Deep Sidhu and Jugraj Singh at the Red Fort itself. Jugraj is a sevadar and has been climbing the pole to hoist the flag at the gurudwara. Due to practice, he immediately climbed the pole of the Red Fort. This disclosure has been made by Sukhdev, a cash prize of Rs 50,000.

A Crime Branch official said that Sukhdev Singh (65), a resident of Karnal, was hiding in a dharna on the Singhu border after the violence at the Red Fort. His every-day location was coming on the Singhu border but the Delhi Police did not catch him from the Singhu border. Sukhdev Singh participated in Chakka Jam on 6 February. He moved to Pipli village on February 6. He knew that the police had declared a reward on him and if he would go to his house, the police would arrest him. On February 7, the accused went to meet the Chandigarh lawyer.

He had to file a petition in the Chandigarh High Court that the Haryana government had cut off the electricity and water of the farmers sitting on the dharna on the Singhu border. Before he could reach the High Court, Delhi Police arrested him under the red light at Industrial Zone, Sector-3, Chandigarh. Delhi Police has given this information in writing to the Industrial Area Police Station. Sukhdev Singh led the crowd at the Red Fort and it was he who instigated the mob to sabotage. Sukhdev said that if he does not sabotage then how will the government bow down.
