New Delhi: A long wait for buses in the national capital Delhi amid crisis restrictions of the corona epidemic is now going to provide some relief. The Delhi Transport Department has inducted air conditioning buses into its fleet in the scorching weather in Delhi. The new cluster buses have CCTV cameras and panic buttons for women's safety.
Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot has said that all these new buses have comfort, convenience, and safety facilities. He said that if you go to London or the US, there is a similar comfort in buses. All low-floor buses are fitted with AC. As well as live CCTV cameras as well as panic button facility has been given except every 2 seats of the bus. Passengers can use it if faced with any kind of problem.
According to the Transport Minister, 452 AC buses have been taken off Delhi roads since March 2020. Kailash Gehlot said that corona had knocked in March-April 2020, then there was lockdown so the buses could not be flagged off. The need for more buses has also been felt due to corona restrictions, so today i.e. on August 16, 32 new buses have been added to the fleet.
