New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the unifying impact of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya during the first Mann Ki Baat broadcast of the year. He highlighted that the event brought millions of people together, showcasing the collective strength of the nation.

Referring to the governance of Lord Ram as a source of inspiration for constitutional makers, Modi mentioned his discussion on 'Dev to Desh' and 'Ram to Rashtra' in Ayodhya on January 22. The Prime Minister expressed the significance of the consecration ceremony, stating, "Everyone's feeling is the same, everyone's devotion is the same. Ram is in everyone's words, Ram is in everyone's heart."

During this period, people across the country sang Ram bhajans and illuminated 'Ram Jyoti' on the evening of January 22, celebrating Diwali collectively. Modi pointed out that this display of collective strength reflects the foundation of the nation's commitment to a developed India. Shifting focus, Modi commended recent Padma awardees, emphasizing that many were individuals working at the grassroots, making significant changes away from the spotlight. He expressed satisfaction with the transformation of the Padma awards system into a recognition of the people's contributions.

In a separate development, tensions rose in a village as police heightened security following the removal of Hanuman Saffron's flag from a pole. Villagers protested against the removal, and the Mandya SP indicated that it was the decision of the Gram Panchayat and CEO (District Collector). Amid the protests, the flag was eventually taken down.
