DGP office becomes strict on UP's growing kidnapping incidents, guidelines issued

Lucknow: For the past few days, many incidents are coming out from the country's largest state Uttar Pradesh. The DGP office is now looking strict on the incidents of kidnapping and extortion in UP. Guidelines have been issued by the DGP office for senior officers of the city. It has been said in the directive that on the information of kidnapping, the district police should immediately constitute a team, and the STF should also be deployed immediately as per the requirement.

Senior officers should review the entire matter continuously. Not only this, senior officers themselves inspect the scene, and if required, brain mapping and polygraph tests of criminals should also be done. In the direction issued by the DGP office, it has been said that upon receiving the information of the crime, the police station in-charge, the officer-in-charge, as well as the police captain, should reach the spot.

Not only this, if it is clear from the allegations of the complainant that kidnapping has been done for the purpose of an offense, then the case should be registered immediately. It has been said in the guidelines that teams should be registered by registering a case under Section 364A of IPC on the incident of kidnapping for ransom. No laxity will be tolerated in this. It has been said in the direction that within 24 hours of the incident of kidnapping, the information of the kidnapped should be sent to all the cities along with other cities and their information should be obtained. If needed, STF should be ensured of constant hijacking. The same action will now be taken on these matters.
