The Dhanteras sales of Gold and electronics didn’t stop even after the hike in tax rates. The Ranchi saw an overall sale of Rs. 20 Crore of jewels and gems on the occasion of Dhanteras, yesterday.

 “We witnessed robust sales on Thursday and Friday evening trend continues to be positive. An overview of net sales will be possible only after midnight," Satish Arya, president of Jharkhand Jeweller's Association said on Friday.

Last year gold was sailing around the landmark of Rs. 25,000 bur this time it touched the height of Rs, 32,000. Although the gold became steady and low by the day of Dhanteras to Rs. 30,590 per 10 grams.

Due to the higher taxes on Electronics and gadgets, their sale remained low. Silver was sold at the price of Rs 42,500 per Kilo grams.

The sale of Gold items were observed to be higher than the last year.

The car and four-wheeler market was also at its peak yesterday. About 300 cars and 470 two wheelers were sold remotely in the area nearby to the Ranchi District.
